Bremont Jaguar MKIII Watch Hands-On
Bremont London has just announced a new “entry-level” model in their Bremont Jaguar watch collection known as the “Jaguar MKIII.” This new automotive-themed timepiece follows the quite popular Jaguar MKI and MKII watch models that best watches debuted earlier in 2015 here. The Bremont Jaguar MKIII will have a slightly slimmer case and a simpler?three-hand automatic movement. In some ways, it is the most simple and refined Bremont Jaguar watch yet.Bremont’s relationship with also-English Jaguar began several years ago and solidified as Bremont formed a close relationship with Jaguar’s head of design Ian Callum (who is a great guy to chat with). To commemorate the 45th anniversary of the Girard-Perregaux Laureato, the brand just partnered with watch customizer Bamford to create this limited-edition watch it’s calling the Laureato “Ghost.” Done in an all-white ceramic case and bracelet, this a very cool and very niche watch that's limited to only 45 pieces.Intended as a unisex piece, Bamford wisely opted for the 38mm case variant of the Laureato for this white ceramic limited edition. In the past, I would have bristled at the idea of choosing a 38mm over a 42, but damn if it didn't hit that just-right “Goldilocks” zone. The octagonal bezel and integrated bracelet go a long way in adding some necessary wrist presence.
