Buben & Zorweg Magnum Luxury Watch Safe
Since its establishment in 1995, Buben & Zorweg has transformed from a small firm producing packaging for high-end timepieces and jewelry into a manufacturer of watch winders, fine mechanical watches and – since 2008 – luxury safes as well. This time we are looking at the brand’s latest safe called the Magnum, designed to be a solution for (nearly) all problems of the concerned watch collector.Safes play a subservient role most of the time. They are heavy, cold, uniform and (mostly) uninteresting objects which only serve to protect the rare, the unique, the brittle and the priceless that is stored inside. The problem this creates is the stark contrast between the aesthetics, the sentiment and the general ‘mood’ represented by ordinary safes and the invaluable objects which they are meant to keep secure. In other words, ordinary safes scarcely match the levels of refinement that is seen in high-end timepieces and nor do they fit the styling of a luxury
F.P. Journe Octa Sport Watch In Aluminum Review
The F.P. Journe Octa Sport is among the least apologetic timepieces I have ever worn. What I mean is that you have a situation where the watch creator – Francois-Paul Journe – produces something arguably very strange, and feels no obligation to really explain its purpose to anyone. Only when you handle and wear the Octa Sport watch does it make sense to you. In a brand with so much focus on horological heritage and complication, the Octa Sport is the company’s very first sport watch.F.P. Journe originally released the Octa Sport (Octa S) collection in about 2011-2012. The Octa Sport was one of two watches that would comprise F.P. Journe’s “LineSport” family, which includes the Octa Sport and the Centigraphe Sport. Each of these were variations on existing models (the Octa and Centigraphe), produced to be sportier. But what does “sportier” mean to someone like F.P. Journe?
