BREAKING NEWS: Stephane Bianchi Remains Head Of LVMH Watches And Jewelry Division As Frederic Arnault Becomes CEO Of TAG Heuer
Frederic Arnault has been appointed as the CEO of TAG Heuer watches starting July 1, 2020. Son of LVMH Chairman Bernard Arnault (LVMH is the parent company of TAG Heuer), Frederic Arnault is being promoted from his previous title as Chief Strategy and Digital Officer of TAG Heuer. The younger Arnault recently headed up the launch of the updated TAG Heuer Connected smartwatch (best watches hands-on here). His position at CEO technically replaces that of former TAG Heuer CEO Stephane Bianchi, who will remain at LVMH in a different role.Mr. Frederic ArnaultIn 2018, when Jean-Claude Biver left LVMH, Stephane Bianchi (then-newcomer to LVMH) entered to replace Mr. Biver’s role both as the CEO of TAG Heuer and as the head of the LVMH Watches Division (a collection of some, but not all, of the conglomerate’s watch brands that include TAG Heuer, Zenith, and Hublot).
The B.R.M. Birotor Caps Things Off
Up until recently, I had not heard of the independent watch brand B.R.M. and their line up of racing-inspired watches – but I’m glad I stumbled across them. The model we’ll focus on today is another entry into the trend of what I consider to be an industrial style.Of course, you could quite easily argue that it’s simply the automotive racing nature of things informing the style, and it’s not something I’d put up a fight about. That said, I’ve been noticing (especially on the higher end models) that when you get to an open-worked watch, such as this one with plenty of open space, the case takes on a more industrial feel, as if to mimic the machinery in the movement.
