Hands-On: Doxa Sub 300 Carbon Dive Watch
Presented in a blue sports material box of distinctly un-Swiss sportiness, the Doxa Sub 300 Carbon has made a splash by being the first carbon cased Sub 300 that isn’t a limited edition. Despite that, the collection continues to offer a wide range of funky colors that have long rendered the Sub 300 collection that much more special. It isn’t all perfect, but it’s more than worth a closer look.A saturated orange bezel with distinctive black and off-white markers looks you straight in the face when you unzip the packaging. I can’t quite put my finger on where this vibe is radiating from within the Sub 300’s 50-year history, but it does actually look like a watch that could take a shark attack head-on. I couldn’t, and the Doxa Sub 300 Carbon doesn’t for a second make me feel like I could. But this watch looks almost angry for having spent so long in a box-and so little somewhere in the open seas.

With Watches & Wonders Shanghai 2020 in full swing, one common theme among many of the releases seems to be the combination of rose gold cases with blue dials. Parmigiani has thrown its hat into this particular ring with a renewed take on the Tondagraph GT chronograph, introducing this currently trending colorway alongside some substantial mechanical updates. The limited edition Parmigiani Tondagraph GT Rose Gold Blue acts as a testbed for the brand's next generation manufacture integrated chronograph movement, with an in-house production philosophy that covers every component but the sapphire crystal, hands, and rubber strap.Looking from the outside of the Parmigiani Tondagraph GT Rose Gold Blue, not much has changed. The lines of the 42mm case, with the distinctive half-fluted bezel and semi-integrated attached lugs flowing into the chronograph pushers, remain intact from previous versions.
