Jean Daniel Nicolas Watches: The Real Daniel Roth Brand
An oddity in the watch world are watch brands who bear the names of actual living watch makers, but who no longer have anything to do with the watch makers themselves. What makes it most interesting is that there never seems to be a lot of positivity about this. Meaning that the men whose names are being use often refer to ignore what the brands are doing and never seem to happy about it. How does this occur? The new-for-2021 Piaget Altiplano Ultimate Concept La Cote-Aux-Fees watch is graced with some green-hued movement bridges, a color that Piaget says is inspired by trees. Of course, it is: The one thing any Swiss watchmaker sees more of in any given day aside from assembly screws is trees. My theory is that Piaget will decorate particular high-end models (that are also produced at the La Cote-Aux-Fees manufacture) with a green color
