WATCH WINNER REVIEW: Zelos Hammerhead 1000m Diver Watch
In January of 2017, the monthly giveaway watch on best watches was a Zelos Hammerhead 1000m diver watch. The winner was James B. from Towcester, England and?after enjoying his new timepiece (retail price $529¨C$629), he has given a watch winner review for us to share with you, the best watches audience. Here is James’ review:I was amazed to find out I had won the January watch giveaway, and what a watch to win! But first, I needed to make the difficult choice between the marine bronze-cased Zelos Hammerhead, or a 316L stainless steel model with a Damascus-style steel bezel. Both looked incredible and the bronze was definitely eye-catching, but in the end, the contemporary looks of the stainless steel model won. Ball Watches Get High (UP) With The New Engineer Master II Aviator GMT
Surprisingly, Ball Watch Co. is about to release a relatively straight-forward and simple watch. I am a big fan of the brand, but lately their new watches have been getting functionally (and cosmetically) more and more complex. I always have appreciated their simple masculine looks that weren’t trying to hard to be something they were not.From the a mechanical thermometer, to complex chronographs, and multi-timezone laden watches; Ball does have some interesting offerings. Even the lauded Engineer Master line has been getting visually more complicated. Now Ball has changed directions a bit and taken a bit more of a conservative approach. This is the first watch I have seen from them that takes an aviation approach to styling, though it retains a distinctive “ball” character.
