Hands-On: Casio G-Shock MT-G "Wildlife Promising" Python Pattern Metal Watch
For watch lovers, the most important feature of this limited-edition Casio watch isn’t the particular design or base model used. Rather, it is the particular manufacturing technique used to create the snakeskin-style motif on the case and bracelet that is worth a great deal of attention. I say this because it is easy to neglect this technical feature and its implications while discovering this very eye-catching timepiece. The watch itself is the Casio G-Shock MT-G Wildlife Promising MTGB1000WLP1, and it exists as a limited-edition (Casio has not disclosed a specific number) released at the end of 2020.The base watch is one that I have a lot of experience with. Archimede Outdoor Watch Review
When I’ve taken a look at Archimede watches in the past, they’ve always presented themselves as refined watches, something that’s perhaps more suited to an office, or a night out on the town. Which isn’t to say that you couldn’t head out to the backwoods with their watches, it’s just that the styling seemed incongruent to that activity. Well, that all changes with one of their latest models, the aptly named Outdoor. For outdoor activities, you definitely want to have a lightweight and legible watch, and Archimede has met those criteria handily. The watch weighs in at 75g (on the strap, 125g on bracelet), and the uncluttered dial (our review sample featured the fully luminous white option) makes it a snap to read the time quickly. While the case is slightly smaller than you might expect from modern trends (it measures in at 39mm and 11.2mm thick), it is still made of stainless steel, so it will withstand the outdoor excursions, as will the standard sap
