I really like it now that is fixed. I like the looks, The dial is easily readable in pitch dark, which was the main reason why I chose this watch in the first place.

This patent leather band is better made than the lizard band I got with my watch from Philip Stein! Just be aware that the white is not quite as bright a white as it shows in the picture. It's a little more eggshell.

I was looking for a dressier watch. and this looked like it would fit the bill, but when I received it it looked too casual for my needs -- it was the stainless look that dressed it down. It is a beautiful watch at a good price if what you are looking for is a classy looking casual watch.

Seiko Power Design Project 2008 Results: Tokyo Looking Watches
Each year Seiko has a bit of a design competition in Japan called the Seiko Power Design Project. Utilizing a different theme each year, 2008 had 12 watches each named after a district or neighborhood in Tokyo. This is one of the very cool things that Seiko does, and I think that more watch companies should get involved in working with local artists to design watches that come from different points of view. The first Seiko Power Design Project was in 2002, and it has been occurring annually since. I am not sure exactly how the project is done, but the “winners” actually get their watches made. This means that as an artist, you can design a watch and actually have it be produced (if you are lucky), something that most people will never experience as watch production is no easy feat. The goal of the project is not all altruistic of course. Seiko is always on the lookout for new watch designs that will have market appeal. In the past, watches produced from the Power Design proj
Greubel Forsey Quadruple Tourbillon Secret 18k Red Gold Watch Hands-On
We frequently need to go back into the best watches photography archives to discover stories and timepieces we haven’t had an opportunity to cover yet. It is actually amazing the number of timepieces we see, take pictures of, and then don’t have a chance to cover each year. Looking through some images I took of rare Greubel Forsey watches, I instantly remembered a moment with Stephen Forsey that caused my heart to miss a beat when he decided it was a good idea to take a “Unique Edition” Quadruple Tourbillon watch and bang it on the table a few times in front of me.Stephen Forsey, co-founder of Greubel Forsey, wearing the Greubel Forsey Quadruple Tourbillon Secret in 18k red goldWhy did Stephen Forsey do that to this over-half-a-million-dollar watch that would require a pretty penny’s worth of repair if it got damaged? He was trying to demonstrate to me that when people buy a timepiece for this much money, they should expect a degree of durability as well a
