Angelus U20 Ultra-Skeleton Tourbillon Watch Hands-On
Angelus is a “new old brand” that was recently brought back under the larger La Joux-Perret manufacture umbrella (owned by the Citizen group) which includes sister brand Arnold & Son. A good way of thinking about Angelus in relation to Arnold & Son is that while they both feature interesting and mostly complicated original watches, Arnold & Son is inspired by the past while Angelus is more contemporary or futuristic in their design approach.Much that impresses us from the two brands are the type of things which can be considered the brainchild of designer and engineer Sebastien Chaulmontet. For now, let’s focus on the Angelus U20 Ultra-Skeleton Tourbillon and my hands-on look at it from when I checked it out back at Baselworl
Linde Werdelin Land Instrument Watch: Personal Sensorship
Recently, best watches.com covered the Nokia Eco Sensor Concept, a conceptual device brimming with sensors, connectivity and functionality. The highlight of the Nokia Eco Sensor was it’s ability to monitor one’s surroundings and convert that information into something relevant to the wearer’s health (i.e. “warning high levels of carbon dioxide detected!”). The Nokia Eco Sensor though very interesting, was still just a concept, as there was no working model. The Linde Werdelin Land Instrument is no mere concept, and it delivers a heap of promised features. The Linde Werdelin Land Instrument is part of Linde Werdelin’s Biformeter (silly to pronounce) line of products, and is designed for skiing and cold weather mountain climbing and exploration. Excursions which scale tall cold environs require a good deal of environmental measuring to ensure human survivability. In extremely cold temperature, body parts can freeze in moments when exposed to the air. Fu
